Need a Vacation?

But you just don't have the money - Or the time?

You love your work - or maybe you don't - but it keeps fresh fruit on the table.

You love your kids. But getting them to do homework, or go to bed, or just keep the noise down makes you feel like a lion tamer cracking his whip - and you hate that.

Money is tight. Expenses just get higher, or you're saving for that special appliance, renovation or trip - and you don't want to take out money for "non essential extras" right now.

Take a deep breath.

Where are the Miracles?

There are miracles that happen each and every day. We just have to see them.

Most of us were trained as children to see only problems. If you think two-year-old toddlers use the word "No!" too much, try counting the number of times they hear it.

Also try counting the number of times children hear praise.

That is a large part of the problem with most people today. They were taught the World is full of "No"s and there just aren't too many "Yes"s.

But are there. If you grew up that way, it will just take a bit more work to see them.

When we were young we saw wonder surrounding us. The world was a bright shiny and fascinating place. We didn't notice the bumps or falls or scrapes (even though we can all remember Mom telling us not to pick an endless variety of scabs)

Where did the Wonder Go?

As we got older things seem to have reversed. We no longer have the scabs to pick at, but we do have an enormous load of worries, anxieties, and sorrows.

Right - that's reality.

Or is it?

How would you like to go to a place where you would be sure of:

  • No bad memories
  • No feelings of guilt
  • No disturbing thoughts

Habits and Masks

So many things are really built on habits and triggers in our life. How many times has it happened that you were in a great mood - and then walked into a room or sometimes just entered your own home - and bam! A memory, or a mood, hits you. One you didn't want. One you couldn't control. The worst part of it all is that you may not even know where it came from.

A teacher walks into a classroom, a manager walks into an office, a salesman sees a possible client and their whole personality and mood changes. What do they have in common. The good ones, in all professions, know about triggers. About "wearing the mask." About creating an atmosphere that is necessary for success.

That's what we need. A mask of success. A mask of our best self.

And it is real!

Who is the real you? The person who lies around the house in an outfit so old the Salvation Army wouldn't take, or the person who shines from top to toe as they walk out the front door. They both are. They are both masks - activated by triggers. And we can choose which one we want right now!

No Pain and Lots of Gains

Don't blame anyone - especially yourself. Without anger, without forcing yourself to do one difficult thing, in the most gentle and natural way possible, there is a way to becoming the person you really are.

And you can start by taking a Comfort Vacation.
